World Changing Innovation
We turn waste into food
Our Goal
To convert organic waste to organic fertilizer, promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction, and the creation of a self-sustaining and regenerative agricultural system.
How we are changing the world!
Sensitization
Creating awareness is the most essential step in managing waste. Currently our team is doing door to door sensitization, educating women, the youth and the community at large on sustainable practices that assist in waste management such as recycling that is of significant benefit to them. Recycling does not just provide a cleaner environment but also other useful products such as organic fertilizer.
Training Programs
At Ecorich Solutions, we are running several training programs to ensure that farmers get all the information they need and also have all the necessary help provided to them regarding use of our fertilizer. We work together with our agronomist who trains the farmers on crop selection and general crop development. We do this through workshops, schools and door to door sensitization.
Waste Management in Urban Areas
With rapid urbanization, cities and informal urban settlements generate large quantities of waste, much of which ends up in landfills or improperly disposed of. The organic waste in landfills produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas .Inefficient waste collection and disposal systems increase carbon emissions through transportation and use of energy contributing to climate change.
Effective waste management including composting and conversion of organic waste into useful products like organic fertilizer significantly reduce these emissions. Thanks to our technology that fastens the conversion process to just 24hours.
Benefits Of Our Organic Fertilizer
Our innovation has impacted the lives of many small scale farmers as well as the youth. 75% of the farmers using our organic fertilizer have testified of increased yields of up to 40% that result in doubled returns. The fertilizer being highly affordable and nutrient- rich made farming better and cheaper as the costs of inputs reduced. Additionally, acidic soils have been restored enabling farmers to enjoy better produce.
The youth on the other hand have benefited from our employment opportunities where we train them into our village champions and pay them as they play a great role in the distribution of the organic fertilizer to households. This has in turn changed their standards of living as they are able to meet their needs financially.
